Becky Carter

Project Manager

Becky joined Connxus in April 2024 and currently serves as a Project Manager. In this role, she supports governmental affairs and project management organization initiatives. She also utilizes her skills in design thinking, intervention mapping, and working cross-departmentally to drive strategy and achieve measurable results.

Before joining Connxus, Becky worked for the City of Austin’s Office of Violence Prevention in Austin Public Health. During this time, she worked to open the first Trauma Recovery Center, which provides wraparound services for survivors of violent crime. Becky brings a wealth of knowledge in facilitating cross-industry stakeholders and developing behavioral health programs addressing large-scale social issues that impact one’s health, such as substance use, homelessness, low socioeconomic status, violence, suicide, grief, and trauma.

Becky holds a Dual Master’s in Public Health and Public Affairs from UTHealth’s School of Public Health and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. She also earned her Bachelor of Science Arts degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018.

Outside of work, Becky enjoys practicing yoga, reading, cooking, and walking her doggo, Aurora Grace. She also supports local nonprofits in Austin and volunteers as a Board member for Capacity Catalyst and B Local Texas.
