Connxus will not share participants’ data with any third-party vendor without explicit participant request and authorization. In addition, participants must formally request and sign an authorization agreement before Connxus will share any data with a third-party vendor. In certain cases, participants may also be required to sign a separate agreement directly with the vendor.

Collaborating with 3rd Party Vendors

Working with third-party vendors can be complex, especially when handling protected health information (PHI) and ensuring compliance with legal and technical requirements. Connxus, as a Health Information Exchange (HIE), provides valuable support by facilitating secure and efficient data sharing. By serving as a trusted health data utility, Connxus helps participants navigate the data sharing process, reducing administrative burdens and expediting vendor collaboration.

If participants are interested in working with a third-party vendor, Connxus can serve as a trusted intermediary. By leveraging their existing relationship with Connxus, participants can streamline third-party vendor PHI/data requests, including technology integration, PHI filtering, and legal compliance. This approach saves both time and money while ensuring a secure and efficient process.
