Vidya Lakshminarayanan is the Chief Operating Officer at Connxus, a regional Health Information Exchange, where she drives operational excellence and strategic initiatives to advance healthcare data interoperability to improve healthcare outcomes across communities. With deep expertise in health informatics, technology design, and large-scale program management, Vidya has built a career at the intersection of healthcare, social care, education, and innovation.

Prior to this current role, Vidya served in Health Informatics department at The University of Texas at Austin, where she led complex research projects, defined requirements, architected workflows, and helped design cutting-edge technology solutions for research initiatives. Her work enabled critical advancements in health data utilization and research infrastructure.

Before joining UT Austin, Vidya worked at Austin Independent School District, where she developed technology solutions that connected student performance data to external interventions and social care services, helping families access the resources they needed for student success.

Vidya holds a master’s degree in software engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and is known for delivering transformative solutions by aligning technology, data, and strategy to serve both individuals and systems at scale.
