Vidya Lakshminarayanan is the Chief Operating Officer for Connxus, the Central Texas Health Information Exchange. She brings 12 years of experience in health and education data informatics.

Prior to joining Connxus, Vidya was the Assistant Director, Health Informatics, at Dell Medical School. She was a key player in the development of innovative health information technology, including a mobile patient engagement platform and a community-wide social and health integrated data platform. Vidya provided governance, process and product design support and oversaw these projects from concept to launch. Her involvement in these projects, integrating social determinants of health data from different healthcare partners to build dashboards for population-level analysis, demonstrates her ability to build data pipelines that contribute significantly to preventative healthcare.

Prior to joining Dell Med, Vidya was the Product Manager at the Austin Independent School District where she led the design and implementation of an advanced case management system that allowed district staff and external community-based organizations to exchange FERPA protected data in a secure environment to better understand the impact of various interventions on the students. Vidya also led the work of integrating the student health information system with the advanced case management system, allowing the health staff to make data informed decisions and share student’s health information with academic staff on a need-to know basis.
