Vidya Lakshminarayanan

Chief Operating Officer

Vidya Lakshminarayanan serves as Chief Operating Officer of Connxus, where she helps shape enterprise strategy and provides executive leadership across product, finance, governance, compliance, human resources, strategic partnerships, and organizational transformation. She helps advance Connxus’ evolution as a trusted community health infrastructure that strengthens interoperability, cross-sector collaboration, and data-informed innovation.

Vidya’s career spans healthcare, academic medicine, education, and technology. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Her technical foundation complements her executive leadership in strategy, product, and organizational transformation. Throughout her career, she has focused on translating strategy into execution by building customer-centered products, scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and cross-sector partnerships that enable organizations to navigate complexity and create lasting positive impact.

At Connxus, Vidya has helped redefine the role of a traditional Health Information Exchange by expanding its focus beyond interoperability into a broader community health infrastructure that integrates technology, analytics, governance, and community partnerships to improve health outcomes. A defining example is the Accountable Health Communities initiative, where she led the strategy and operational implementation of a coordinated care model that demonstrated measurable improvements in patient engagement, care coordination, and preventable emergency department utilization.

Prior to her work at Connxus, at Dell Medical School, she led cross-functional digital health initiatives supporting interoperability, consent management, patient engagement, and community-based research. Earlier in her career, she led Austin Independent School District’s Community Schools technology and partnership initiatives, designing one of the district’s first enterprise operating models connecting schools, community organizations, and technology to better support students and families.

Vidya believes the future of healthcare depends on stronger collaboration across healthcare, social care, public health, education, and community organizations. She believes trusted data, strong governance, and cross-sector collaboration are essential to building healthier communities and more resilient systems of care.
