Connxus and MyHealth Access Network Partner to Bring Innovative Health Technology to Central Texas
Connxus and MyHealth Access Network Partner to Bring Innovative Health Technology to Central Texas for Better Patient Experiences, Outcomes, and Costs
Medical and Community Services Providers Gain a More Comprehensive Understanding of Patients’ Health
Connxus and MyHealth Access Network announce a new, groundbreaking partnership to ensure patients receive safer, more coordinated, and more effective care. Through this first-of-its-kind collaboration, Connxus, the nonprofit Central Texas Health Information Exchange (HIE), will leverage MyHealth’s cutting-edge Health Data Utility (HDU) Operating System to enhance its secure, real-time health information platform tailored for Texas providers and patients.
By integrating MyHealth’s award-winning technology, Connxus partners will get seamless access to comprehensive patient records at every point of care through the Connxus iCare portal. Providers will benefit from the portal’s Single Sign-On (SSO) capability, allowing them to access patient data across different sources with a single, secure login, improving efficiency and security. Connecting siloed healthcare information systems across the community strengthens interoperability and efficiency so providers can make more informed, data-driven decisions to improve patient outcomes.
“Our new relationship with MyHealth Access Network allows Connxus to focus on our mission of collaborating with stakeholders across all drivers of health to solve persistent health challenges and lower care costs in our communities,” said Eliel Oliveira, CEO of Connxus. “By integrating with MyHealth’s HDU technology, we can expand our data-driven health services to a broader region and truly transform the way we approach health.”
Connxus aims to make patients healthier by enhancing care continuity for providers across the region, utilizing MyHealth’s robust, user-friendly tools:
-
- Care Gap Reporting: Reduces costs and improves patient outcomes by identifying patients with uncontrolled chronic conditions, missed health screenings, or other “gaps” in care for early intervention
- Care Fragmentation Alerts: Reduces redundant testing and improves patient experiences and outcomes by flagging patients who are seeing several providers across multiple settings to ensure care coordination.
- Non-Medical Drivers of Health Screening: Improves patient care and outcomes and reduces costs by providing standardized, user-friendly screening tools to identify social needs and connect patients with critical community resources.
“Connxus has a long, rich history of collaboration for health improvement in Central Texas,” said Dr. David Kendrick, CEO of MyHealth Access Network. “By adopting MyHealth’s proven technology, Connxus is expanding access to critical health information that will enhance care coordination and improve health outcomes across the region. We’re proud to support their efforts in providing Texas providers with the tools they need to deliver data-driven, comprehensive care that ultimately benefits both patients and the broader healthcare community.”
Thousands of Central Texas patients will benefit from fewer unnecessary tests, reduced medical errors, and a smoother healthcare experience across different providers and care facilities. As Connxus grows beyond the traditional HIE to incorporate clinical and non-clinical data, the benefits extend to the larger community. Connxus partners, medical and community services, payors, government agencies, and others will better understand health trends and needs across vulnerable populations.
This pioneering partnership marks a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to leverage HDU technology to improve overall care. Connxus and MyHealth will remain independent entities, each maintaining its governance structure and mission aligned with statewide health initiatives in Texas and Oklahoma, but by working together, they are strengthening care efficiency and improving health in both regions.
